"The difference in our house is amazing. In cold weather, we used to wrap up like burritos at night. Jeremy installed new windows in the bedrooms, coordinated spray-foam insulation, and then installed plywood and (HardiePlank) siding. "Working with (Unity) was a perfect contractor experience. Jeremy really knew what he was doing and was able to quickly provide window estimates from multiple window manufacturers. Our project included the removal of old aluminum windows from concrete block walls. We asked Jeremy to try to save the limestone thresholds while he was removing the windows and he took the time to carefully remove the windows without even a scratch on the limestone. The installation went well and the jobsite was kept exceptionally clean. "I think what we asked of Jeremy was interesting, perhaps even challenging compared to other projects he typically takes on... My husband and I are working to restore a 1950's ranch to it's original glory, reviving as opposed to replacing. Too often people simple buy new when older products (in this case a front entrance from 1959) have great bones and stylistic elements that simply can't be bought in this day and age. We hired Jeremy to disassemble our front door and entryway and basically rebuild it as needed, replacing parts that were worn over the years (such as a new poplar threshold that looks gorgeous and a new storm door that really melds the old with the new). Our door now seals perfectly, closes without hitch, it feels like a brand new entrance. Jeremy told us that the door itself weighed close to 100 pounds, the heaviest he has worked with, further demonstrating that old can be incredibly efficient! Jeremy was a great communicator throughout the entire process, always giving options and really listening to what we wanted.
